This position is responsible for coordinating and providing patient care to the acute outpatient medical and surgical patients in a safe and effective manner. Additional responsibilities include directing the unlicensed employee activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/intervention, teaching of patients/family, implementation of treatment plan/MD orders, and documentation and evaluation. Integration of patient care standards is incorporated into all clinical activities. Cross trained to work in the Pre-admit Testing Unit. This position requires the ability to be at work and be on time for the assigned shift well as meet all call requirements. This position requires the ability to follow directions from a supervisor/designee.

One year acute care experience in Peri-Anesthesia or Medical Surgical or Ambulatory required. In lieu of this experience, consideration will be made for staff with strong education and associated experiential background. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Education/License/Certification * Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred. * Current CA RN license * BLS * ACLS * PALS * Current CCRN, CPAN, or CAPA preferred
