The Cardiovascular Registered Nurse, Clinical Level II is responsible for providing acute cardiovascular specialized patient care in a safe and effective manner from admission to discharge or inpatient transfer. Additional responsibilities include directing unlicensed staff, patient assessment, planning of care, post-procedure observation, non-invasive procedure interventions, patient/family teaching, and implementation of treatment plan and physician orders, documentation and evaluation. Nursing care is delivered to a patient population ranging from adolescent through geriatric. * Manages the Pre-op and Recovery of Procedural patients * Understands Physical and Hemodynamic assessments and responds to clinical changes efficiently and effectively * Educates the pre and post procedure patient per unit guidelines * Manages procedural patients for EBUS, TEE, Tilt Table and Electrocardioversions effectively
Experience * One year experience in the Cath Lab, Vascular Lab and/or EP Lab preferred * Two years critical care experience preferred * Two years Telemetry or Post Interventional Care Unit (PICU) with excellent arrhythmia recognition; post cardiac interventional care (including sheath pulls and groin management-preferred) required
Education/License/Certification * Graduate from accredited Nursing Program * Bachelors in Nursing required (within 36 months of hire) * Current California RN license * Current BCLS-C and ACLS from AHA * CCRN preferred
