Regional manager stroke - RN
Greater Charlotte Market Stroke and Neurosciences Institute
The regional manager of stroke assists in the development of stroke programs, manages the accreditation process and ensures continuous compliance with The Joint Commission requirements. He/she coaches stroke coordinators and staff on maintaining relevant policies and procedures, patient education, outcomes data collection, quality improvement efforts, and education of relevant staff in the various aspects of the care of the stroke and neurosciences patient with a focus on patient safety. The regional manager of stroke supports the development of written protocols and education of clinical teams around rapid stroke care, detailing the rapid communication and basic response to critical vital signs that is specifically required for the patient having a stroke or suspected stroke to minimize delays in the diagnosis and treatment of serious adverse events. The ideal candidate serves as the leader of all of the stroke meetings/initiatives in the Greater Charlotte Market and works closely with the clinical improvement to ensure timely and accurate data collection.
•Minimum of two years leadership experience. Minimum two years in clinical education preferred. •Mastery level knowledge of the Joint Commission Stroke Certification Guidelines
•Data collection experience, outcomes research experience optimal
•Current RN licensure in appropriate state required. BLS required. Stroke or related professional certification required.
•Ability to utilize problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. Demonstrates proficient oral and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with other health care professionals. Understanding of budgeting, staffing, payroll and purchasing processes; implementation of competency, feedback, development and progressive discipline processes; teambuilding, conflict management, and interpersonal relationship skills. Able to continuously reprioritize, demonstrate flexibility, and process multiple issues simultaneously. Possesses computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Web; principles of adult learning and teaching methods/models; project leadership and consultation, delegation and communication skills; understanding of customer needs and expectations and knowledge for improvement to exceed customer expectations
