| Neurosciences and Transplant Unit: Where nursing practice intersects with lives changed. |
Diseases and conditions of the brain and neurovascular system impact the very essence of who the patient is. Imagine being a part of the team responsible for helping a patient return to their highest level functioning after a stroke. Or recover from a brain tumor. Being a part of this team offers the opportunity to provide the best care possible to give patients their highest quality of life. This 21-bed nursing unit includes an exciting and dynamic 6-bed Progressive Neuro Care Unit (PNCU), where you will care for a highly acute patient population in a 3:1 ratio; including post-op craniotomies, kidney and pancreas transplants, complex spine surgeries, as well as acute ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes. Working in the PNCU is a wonderful opportunity for those interested in a critical care career path. Come join this exceptional nursing team!
