Clinical Nurse Specialist/Nursing Department Assistant Manager, RN – Neuro ICU
In this role, you will supervise the implementation, delivery, and evaluation/improvement of quality patient care/nursing operations and services that add value and are integrated with nursing standards of practice, service priorities, and performance/outcome measures as well as with departmental, business, and organizational goals/objectives. You will be the CNS for a 30-bed Neuro, medical and general surgical ICU and will be responsible for managing the Rapid Response Liaison staff (ICU RNs). The ICU has 24-hour Intensive coverage and Neurosurgery Resident Program 24-hours a day/7 days a week.
At least three years of clinical nursing experience relevant to a given position/department including one year of leadership experience
Neurosurgical experience preferred
A BSN or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required or completion of a relevant bachelor’s degree within two years of hire; a master’s degree preferred
A graduate of an accredited school of nursing
A current California RN license and BLS certification
ACLS certification preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement and clinical care delivery processes, staffing, and budgeting
Knowledge of the Nursing Practice Act, TJC, and other federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
Interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
