Providence is calling a Registered Nurse to the Neurological Specialties Clinic. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN with strong nursing skills, a commitment to providing excellent patient care, and great communication and teamwork skills.
This fun team is seeking a self-starter with strong attention to detail who is comfortable with ambiguity and open to change.
The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, days. Depending on preference, your schedule could be four ten-hour shifts per week, or four nine-hour days with a half day, or five eight-hour shifts.
This full-time position is based at Mother Joseph Plaza at http://oregon.providence.org/location-directory/p/providence-medical-offices-at-mother-joseph-plaza/ , which is located on the St. Vincent Medical Center campus near Beaverton in Portland, Oregon.
In this position, you will:
Be the professional responsible for facilitating the patient care flow in the clinic.
facilitate the workflow in the area by conducting appropriate triage of labs and diagnostic data.
Contribute expertise in the areas of patient scheduling, telephone advice and pharmacy needs.
Coordinate the care of the patient through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of appropriate services and resources to maximize optimum outcomes.
Work collaboratively with the multiple disciplines, both internal and external to the organization, in effecting quality and cost-effective management of the patient's care along the continuum of chronic neurologic disease.
Assist with maintaining compliance to professional nursing standards and regulatory requirements and will support physicians in delivering quality healthcare to patients taking into account the patients' individual physical or age-related needs.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license
BSN degree from an accredited RN School of Nursing to be obtained by 2018
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
Minimum of 3 years health care experience
Skills assessing vital signs, providing direct patient care, managing time effectively, and practicing safety techniques
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Previous experience with neurology subspecialty group.
