The Department of Biomedical Research at the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware is seeking a full-time Research Contractor to work in the Motor Neuron Diseases Research Laboratory on externally funded projects that are specifically aimed at preclinical drug discovery in motor neuron diseases. This is a one-year position. Responsibilities include performing experiments using a range of molecular biological, biochemical and cell biological techniques with cell lines and rodent models.
The position requires a Bachelors degree in biology, biochemistry or neuroscience-related field and at least one year of experience in a research laboratory. Computer literacy required. Experience with molecular/biochemical techniques and research rodents as well as knowledge of research methodology are required.
