JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse - Nursing Supervisor LOCATION: Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center DEPARTMENT: Nursing Administration WORK SCHEDULE: Nights 11pm-7:30am; Every other weekend/holiday rotation WORK TYPE: Full Time - Exempt
JOB SUMMARY: Coordinates and supervises the delivery of nursing care and activities of assigned personnel. Ensures compliance with the directives, policies, applicable laws and regulations. Supports and implements the Nursing Department/Hospital goals and objectives. Coordinates patient flow and assesses appropriate staffing levels throughout the hospital.
Performs duties to provide the highest level of patient care and optimum patient satisfaction.
Responsible for ensuring the very best patient/family experience by optimizing all customer interaction. Foster a positive work environment through mutual support and cooperation and adheres to GHS and unit specific Service Standards.
Reports directly to the Associate Vice President/Vice President, Nursing Services.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: RN presently licensed or eligible for unrestricted licensure in Pennsylvania required.
BSN degree required
Professional certification required, or commitment to obtain within 3 years after hire date.
Minimum three years (3) clinical nursing experience required.
Previous management experience preferred.
Current BLS and ACLS healthcare provider.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Extensive walking is involved, as well as the ability to lift 25 pounds independently and transport equipment and patients throughout the healthcare facility.
