The assistant director is a registered nurse who oversees and coordinates the day to day operation of a department (s). He/she using critical thinking skills coordinates the clinical activities within a specific unit(s) and collaborates with other members of the health care team to achieve specific unit(s) and hospital goals. She/he directly and indirectly supervises the care rendered by ancillary staff, ordering of supplies and equipment, and managing of direct reports.
BSN required MSN preferred. Master degree in nursing or related field (Health Administration, Business, or Management)
Required: 2-3 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full time charge nurse/related position. Trauma experience preferred.
FLORIDA REGISTERED NURSE
Required: Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. ACLS and BLS required upon hire. PALS required within 6 months of hire and TNCC required/or acquired within 1 year of hire. CPI within 30 days of hire. NIH Stroke within 60 days of hire.
