You Will Be Responsible For:

What You Will Need:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Â·Possess a broad nursing knowledge, leadership ability, accepts responsibility, exercises authority, and functions independently.
Â·Possess insight for employee growth and development and the ability to do effective impartial counseling.
Â·Working knowledge of budgets and healthcare finance and leadership capabilities.
Â·Has ability to work a varied schedule, to include night and weekend hours, with visibility to all shifts.
Â·Must be able to use all systems (i.e. Cerner, Clairvia, Capacity Management) as required on unit.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Â·Minimum of five years acute care nursing experience or three years if has prior leadership experience in team leader role.
Â·Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Â·BSN preferred or obtain BSN within 3 years
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Â·National certification in specialty preferred
Â·One year of experience providing leadership of care team or equivalent (i.e. Team Leader, Clinical Nurse Coordinator)
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Â·Current valid Florida State Board of Nursing Registered Professional Nurse license
The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) of the Float Pool is a registered professional nurse who manages day-to-day operations of the Float Pool department and supports premium labor initiatives. The Assistant Nurse Manager is able to demonstrate critical thinking skills, creativity, and has the knowledge to manage resources to achieve quality performance, positive employee relations, and compliance with hospital guidelines. The Assistant Nurse Manager is skilled in coaching, motivating, mentoring, and leading a professional and technical team in the delivery of services for our patient population. The Assistant Nurse Manager directly monitors that quality of care is delivered to our patients and demonstrates effective stewardship of resources. The Assistant Nurse Manager is the change agent for the float pool and is responsible for implementing any changes that the unit is required to undergo in conjunction with their Manager/Director. The Assistant Nurse Manager actively participates in outstanding customer service, including service to patients, families, physicians, and other contacts, and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
