The Medical Intensive Care/Cardiac Care Unit (MICU/CCU) is an 18 bed intensive care unit specializing predominantly in cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, renal, endocrine and neurological disorders. Patient populations include: myocardial infarction, respiratory failure, COPD, renal failure, diabetes and CVA. The Assistant Nurse Manager serves as an assistant with line authority to the unit Nurse Manager in providing leadership, supervision, and direction to nursing staff. Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases. Paid Time Off: Annual leave at the rate of eight (8) hours per biweekly pay period; Sick leave at the rate of four (4) hours per biweekly pay period; 10 paid Federal holidays per year. Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years' vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA. Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory.
