Position Title: RN Registered Nurse Neuro ICU

Schedule: Full-Time, day and night shift positions available.
36 hours a week. Weekend and holidays required.

New critical care unit supporting an expanding service line
Collaborative approach to care delivery amongst physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and therapists
Patient care management rooted in research and evidence-based practice
Charge nurse outside of staffing numbers, available to assist at the bedside
Core resource nurses available to assist with patient care & critical thinking
Patient care techs staffed to support activities of daily living, assist with phlebotomy & certain sterile procedures as well as turns and mobility
Self-scheduling available to balance the needs of the unit
Engaged nursing leaders who are focused on teamwork & camaraderie
What You Will Do
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of Ascension Seton.
Complete comprehensive assessments of critically ill patients
Implement interventions and evaluate patient responses
Coordinate patient care across multiple disciplines
Help plan patient's discharge needs with other members of the healthcare team
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Advanced Life Support preferred.
Education:
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
Additional Preferences
Previous Neuro ICU experience preferred but not required.
