Position Summary
Our Neurology Outpatient Clinic is hiring a Clinical Supervisor! This position is M-F, NO holidays, weekends, or call!!! A great opportunity for a nurse professional who is ready to take the next step into leadership. The incumbent will be managing a team of nurses and medical assistants. This dynamic position is in a busy clinic office, and will be working closely with providers, patients/parents, and other medical professionals regarding the care of the children. The ideal candidate will understand, and demonstrate flexibility, someone who is willing to jump in as needed, outstanding teamwork and approachable! This clinic may seem small to those on the outside, but it is busy seeing patients all day, and needs a strong leader who understands the mission of PCH and will help the team achieve those goals!
The Clinical Supervisor coordinates shift operational flow in conjunction with organizational and departmental strategic goals, objectives, and standards and is the hospital’s clinical representative/resource for patients, families, and the healthcare team, at both the unit and organization levels. This position provides clinical leadership of patient care services and directs supervision of nursing and support staff to ensure consistent provision of developmentally appropriate quality patient care in accordance with all applicable federal, regulatory, professional standards and requirements. Provides clinical leadership with accountability in promoting quality patient care and an engaging work environment, during assigned shift.
Education
- Associate degree in nursing or bachelor’s degree in nursing. (Required)
- Bachelor’s or higher in healthcare related field. (Preferred)
Experience
- Two years nursing experience or demonstrated competence in bedside nursing role. (Required)
- One year supervisory or lead experience. (Preferred)
- Experience with pediatric patient populations. (Preferred)
Certifications
- Current Arizona RN license or RN Compact license with multistate privileges, and in compliance with the Arizona State Board of Nursing licensure requirements. (Required)
- Current BLS provider from the American Heart Association. (Required)
- Current PALS or NRP provider from the American Heart Association. (Required)
- Current and valid nursing certification in clinical nursing expertise required or must be able to obtain within one year of eligibility. (Required)
