Hospital at Home Unit Summary:
Many patients would rather be at home than in the hospital when they're sick. Our program provides the same high-level of care you get in the hospital within the comfort of your home. The Hospital at Home Department is a new area at Vanderbilt that cares for acutely ill patient in their home. This type of care would normally be provided in the traditional brick-and-mortar inpatient setting. Patients admitted to the program have been evaluated in the hospital setting and admitted for services, but deemed appropriate to continue care within the home.
