As a Nurse at Centura, you will assume responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient. The General Medical department is a 20-bed unit, with a fast-paced atmosphere, specializing in stroke and sepsis, and a diverse patient population, most with multiple comorbidities. This unit takes overflow patients from other areas including trauma, telemetry, transplant, and oncology. The General Medical unit's mission is to treat every patient as if they were our own family members. This unit's team is awesome. They love working together and care about each other. The culture is positive and caring, and the team thrives on their ability to collaborate and help each other through tough shifts. Team member experience ranges from new to over 20 years - it's a perfect mix.
