Primary Responsibilities:
External
- Conduct patient Welcome Calls
- Maintaining & develop key account relationships
- Patient and MDO: Provide Active or Pending patient education on therapy, monitoring, and side effects; ensure patient is provided with the updates and tools they need for successful infusions both during our intake process and once on service.
- LMN creation
- Appeals: Assist the office/patient with the necessary clinical evidence to overturn a denial
Internal Sales
- Support assigned Sales Rep/RSD (could be multiple Reps) to meet/exceed territory and regional gram sales goals
- Attend key-account lunches and after-hours events when needed
- Quarterly review of cancelled/on-hold patients
- Provide nursing notes after new patient first infusion
- Open territory assistance
Internal Intake and pharmacy
- Review clinical and RX on new patient referrals. Determine if additional information is needed. Work with SR/RPh/MDO to obtain.
- Support Sales in obtaining appropriate clinicals needed for active and pending patients
- Assist with obtaining DWO, POT and ROC orders
Other Responsibilities:
External
- Support group attendance
- CE presentations
Internal
- Attend regional nursing cadence
- Facilitate communication between infusion nurse, pharmacy, and doctor office
- Complete all internal training requirements
- Attend Optum Sales Meetings

Required Qualifications:
- BSN or IV certified LVN/LPN
- Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice
- 2+ years of hospital and/or clinic based nursing experience
- Demonstrated effective communication and teaching skills with patients, family members, and other staff members
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, managing own workload and seeking out opportunities to expand service opportunities
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of home healthcare experience, preferably in IG infusion
- Neurology and/or Immunology background
- Proven authorization and payer experience
- Appeal submission experience
- Proven knowledge of the Infusion Nursing standards (INS) and nursing process
