The Interventional Neuroradiology Division of the Department of Radiology in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Little Rock, AR is seeking a- Board Certified/Eligible fellowship trained Neurointerventional physician (radiologist/neurologist/neurosurgeon) to join our department as the third faculty member in the division.
UAMS is the only comprehensive stroke center (CSC) and Level 1 trauma center in the state. We provide subspecialized Neurointerventional expertise for a wide breadth of neurovascular and spine procedures in collaboration with the varied subspecialists in neurosurgery, neurology, otolaryngology and neuroopthalmology. Our service includes providing services to a comprehensive neuro-oncology center, and a long-recognized world-renowned myeloma institute. UAMS is a 450-bed tertiary care center and is equipped with 5 CT and 7 MRI scanners (two 3T and 5 1.5T) as well as two single plane and two bi-plane angiography suites. The radiology department provides 24-hour coverage in all modalities including CT and MR. We provide advanced neuroimaging for comprehensive evaluation of brain tumors, stroke, demyelinating disease, dementia, neuro trauma, spine and head & neck diseases. We also provide neurointerventional services at our sister institutions, VA Hospital and Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
Our goal is to provide efficient delivery of health care in addition to our education-oriented program. The candidate would be highly involved in residency and fellow training, clinical research and multidisciplinary conferences.
