Come join our exceptional Department of Neurobiology, and help lead the advancement of cutting-edge basic science research into explorations of the brain and central nervous system. With guidance, supervision and direction from the Principal Investigator, the Laboratory Technician will have technical, administrative and general laboratory management responsibilities. This important role will be involved in confocal imaging, cell culture, dissections, running behavioral assays, computational and data analysis techniques, and the breeding and maintaining of mice colonies. In addition, this SRA 1 role will assist with designing and managing laboratory protocols related to molecular, cellular and behavioral neuroscience.

Salary range: $26.52- $31.63 hourly
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience or equivalent (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience in behavioral neuroscience techniques and systems neuroscience techniques.
Previous experience managing confocal imaging.
Experience with breeding, maintaining, and dissecting mice colonies.
Experience with computational and data analysis techniques.
Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain complete and accurate records.
Ability to work independently and within a team, and follow through on assignments.
